About Minnesota
Short History 簡史
Minnesota's name comes from the Dakota word Mnisota, meaning "sky-tinted water." It became the 32nd state in 1858. ⭐
The "Twin Cities" grew up side by side on the Mississippi River. Saint Paul, once a riverboat landing nicknamed "Pig's Eye," became the state capital. Minneapolis grew around St. Anthony Falls, whose water powered huge flour mills. Its name means "City of Water." 💧 Today, these friendly rivals are the heart of Minnesota!

Minnesota actually has over 11,000 lakes, so the nickname is being modest! 🏞️ The Mississippi River starts here as a tiny stream you can walk across. Winters are freezing cold ❄️, summers are perfect for swimming and canoeing ☀️, and in fall the whole state turns orange and red. 🍁
明尼蘇達其實有超過一萬一千座湖泊，這個綽號還算謙虛呢！🏞️ 密西西比河就發源於此，起點只是一條可以直接走過去的小溪。這裡的冬天冷到不行 ❄️，夏天很適合游泳和划獨木舟 ☀️，到了秋天，整個州都會染成一片橘紅色。🍁
